New nano skimmer from Bubble Magus

Mine stopped bubbling outside of it after a long running-in period, and some height adjustments.

It started doing it again the first time I gave it a thorough clean.
Yeah and that would suck you have to leave it dirty for no bubbles

Is this true 2” width? I want to use this on a lifeguard crystal 14 peninsula. The width of the sump is 2.25”.

Anyone know if this will fit in a max nano?

It looks like a bargain. I'm running the stock max nano ato in the 3rd chamber so I would have to dodge the power supply box in the 2nd chamber. It's quite tight. Looking at the dimensions the skimmer should fit in, but I wonder if the power box will get in the way of the clip.
I have Max Nano Peninsula. Does the clip fit just to the left of power supply box?

I’m about three weeks in using this skimmer. So far I’m not impressed. I haven’t given up yet but I’m starting to think I might in the end. The skimmer juice has a brown tinge but that’s about all…I have not cleaned the neck once and I don’t feel like I need to. That should tell you all you need to know imo. Honestly when I got this thing it was more for oxygenation and not nutrients. It’s probably the only reason this review isn’t more negative. I will say it’s tiny, SUPER quiet, and well built. Also it produces bubbles. Not micro bubbles in the tank though- at least for me. I wonder if the people that are saying this thing rocks have experience with other skimmers

What size tank are you running it on?

What size tank are you running it on?
32g AIO…now that I figured out what my problem was (not the skimmer) it’s working great. But it’s WAY too small for that size tank. Sorry it took so long to respond, it’s been a crazy month for me

just asking, @Klyle but what did you end up using for your 32 gallon aio as far as the skimmer goes?

Just got one as well, installed it on my Waterbox 20. It's smaller than the Tunze 9001, which I had running in it before. I'll let this run for a while so I can compare to the Tunze, but so far so good. It's much easier to install and to fit in the back of the Waterbox compartment.

Just to give a longer term update. I've run these on my 2 IM 15 gallons for the past 2 years. No particular issues, the work very well for the cost. Sometimes they're a bit finicky but for the most part it's set and forget. Microbubbles went away within a month or so. Other thing to consider. They run via 5vdc via USB. So during a power outage u can place them into the main space and have another easy source of oxygen with a power bank.

I’ve got one on a IM15 and would agree with everything you said

Got mine for $40 on aliexpress, couldn’t imagine finding a better skimmer for the price
