I got a couple more nassarius snails and another turbo snail from my lfs yesterday. The tank already had 2 of each. The turbo snail took off on the glass and was moving all over the tank. The nassarius snails just sat in the sand bed where they were put. Later I noticed one of them upside down, so I flipped it back over. This morning I found it upside down again in the same spot.

When I first introduced the original 4 snails, I just dropped them in. The nassarius dug immediately and the turbos took off. For these new ones, I left them in their bags floating to help aclimate them to the temperature and then put them in.

All my other snails are doing fine, so I don’t know what could be wrong with the 2 new nassarius.

Tank parameters I am measuring are
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Temp 80-80.2
Salinity 1.025

My calcium was low at the lfs so I bought a bottle of calcification and added the recommended 7ml/25gal dosage

While you're generally _much_ better off getting snails from the LFS than ordering them from the internet... sometimes, they don't make it.

I might add... sometimes, the LFS guy won't spend much time selecting a snail, either. Dig up a shell, toss it in the bag. Could have been dead before you ever bought it.

How old is that tank? Sometimes snails just don't survive the journey from supplier to LFS to your tank.
It’s been up for about 6 weeks. I’ll keep an eye on them, but maybe I shouldn’t be so worried if everything else is doing good. Thank you.

+1 just got some astreas and nassarius from my lfs. Got them home and one of my astreas turned out to be a hermit in an astrea shell

Also I just received an order from liveaquaria yesterday of a mixture of snails that I ordered. They all arrived live and well but 3 of the trochus shells were empty

Newbie here but could the issue be with change in salinity? It's my understanding that inverts are very sensitive to salinity change...so I dripped mine. Not sure it that's overkill or not

usually snails need a longer "drip" acclimation so they can slowly get used to different water. I actuallyslow drip my snails for hours. Surely overkill, but hey,
