Hello everyone and thank you for reading, I have had this guy 3 days and had to move him to get support from rocks because he keeps drooping, and here it goes dropping again. Still has a vibrant green color and wax is shedding but should I let it droop? I'm worried about moving it again or touching it at all before it gets adjusted. All other corals look great and my parameters are on point. Dosed trace elements days before purchasing. Thanks again

This is such a hardy coral and if water chemistry is in line then chalk it up to acclimation and resist moving. If it does not perk up in a couple days then dip it and try different placement.

Thank you, this is my first leather coral so kind of on edge with it.

Verry hardy mine took a few days before opening up mine likes lower flow and even stayed open when I had a nitrate spike so it's probably still acclimating

This guy is still the same with some color change to tips but not mushy. Still vibrantly green and shed its waxy layer. Was thinking about floating it using styrofoam but would that be bad for my aquarium? I hope by doing this it won't be bent over

Leathers do not like to be manipulated, moving usually causes them to remain closed longer. What type of flow, mod or heavy, direct, indirect?
Lighting type please. :-)

sorry for late response , I have only moved it once since adding moderate flow in direct , 8 stack T 5 HO 48" coral sun and ocean sun over 125 gallon, only running 4 of the 8 didn't want to over light. I can move the power head back gradually some to create less flow
