new nuvo 10 fusion

I just picked up a nuvo fusion 10 and the leveling mat got wet and it's crap now. Do you think it will be fine without one?

It's good to have under flat bottom glass tanks, especially if there irregularities in the surface it's sitting on. I'm more curious as to why the mat is no good now. it should be neoprene or a similar rubber.

It was just ripped in certain areas. I wouldn't use it.

Biocube 14 gallon stand right now.
We just went to home Depot and bought like a shelf liner. Do you think this will suffice?

Not sure since there are different types of shelf liner. I would get a thin piece of neoprene off eBay.
