Hello-
I'm not new to reefing but new to R2R. I do reference this forum quite a bit so I finally decided to join it. About me.... I've been in the Army for 15 years and getting ready to pack it up and move again. I love doing it because it means I get to start over for the most part. I do plan on moving what I have if I can but I'm looking to get rid of some things in order to lighten my load. My current system is a 90g SPS dominant reef. I like to way the hobby is becoming popular but I don't like the way the hobby is going with the names. IMO, coral should be sold because of the scientific name instead of who's tank it came from. I hope to share my experience as well as continue to learn.

First off thank for serving our country. Second Welcome to posting on R2R. List the things that you are selling and the area you are in, in Florida and things should go pretty quickly. Also check in the forums for the local reef club https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/florida.528/ and post on one of those threads. Good luck on the next deployment.

Welcome to R2R! Also, thanks for your service. I'm an Iraqi Freedom veteran, so I am more than familiar with some of the sacrifices you've had to make. You'll find this site full of friendly people always willing to help. So what size tank are you buying next? Any plans as to what equipment you plan to run? Any pics of your current set up? Good luck with the move!

Let's hope I don't deploy again. I've got four under my belt and have 5 years left until I retire and move onto something else. Thank you for the response.

I'm looking for a cube tank for my next reef and as far as equipment, I have a few things laying around but looking at hybrid fixtures for lighting. Obviously I'm going to run a dump but not sure if I want custom or buy one specifically for a cube. Thank you for your response and service to our country.

Here's the 90g about 8mo ago and today. I tore down a larger tank in order to start over. If you have experience with serving, you realize you can't predict when you move and where you move. I'm happy with the current setup but wish it had more time.

Welcome :-). The tank aged beautifully.

I am with you on the name things, but it falls on deaf ears, I still try to use scientific names as much as possible though.

I'm no marine biologist so it proves to be difficult sometimes. I do try and look things up.
