they need shots with just the orphek blue plus and atlantik and 1 for the sky blue, + the atlantik for me to make any purchasing decision off those photos. Hard to tell what it would be like with the combo even with those pics sadly

i found out i need to wall mount mine but will make either an aluminum or 2x4 bracked to hold the arms in place on the wall. still got a lot of stuff to do in this tank and apartment move. just so people know the arm mount will not work without modification with the innovative marine nuvo ext 50 and orphek compact

So for all the folks that have been running the Icons - have you tried running the default Helius Preset or decided to try to emulate the AB+? Just got mine and trying to see if someone already created a AB+ program setting yet. Too bad you can't export the settings.

I did my own setting. I have 3 and got a nice color that I liked and that would deliver the right PAR too. Make sure to have a PAR meter cause these lights are strong.

I have been running the default Helius with a blue ramp down and have been happy. This is with 7 of the icons over my 300

I created my own program with dusk dawn more blue dominant. I have not tried to emulate AB+, but you have put the thought in my head now.

I started looking at my frag tank and my main display back and forth aftrr this post and they do have simular look. I have the icons plus 4 or3 bars over the the main display and g5's over the frag tank with modified ab+. I don't have spectrometer, so I will not be able to try and match the colors up between settings.

Can you post the link to your new thread? I would like to follow along as I have just installed 2 iCons with 1 Blue + and 1 Sky Blue OR120s on a 4 x 2 x 2 120g. So far in acclimation mode Day #7. Switched from blue + T5s and 14K MH. I am liking them so far. SPS seem to be responding well to acclimation.

I was looking at this light for a 36” x 24” x 24” tank, seems like one would be plenty? It appears to be one of a few single fixture solutions for thanks that size.

How silent are the fans on these?

Pretty silent. I have 3 fixtures in living room, when it's at full power you can hear them, but not too loud. And that would be 12 fans on 3 fixtures. That's when they turn on at full blast. But when the light is at less than 50% intensity they turn on but you can barely hear it.

I also have 3 fixtures. 2 regular size and 1 compact. Fixture in living room. The highest setting I have is 77% power for all fixtures. I have not noticed any sound from fans at all

Depending on the spectrum you want, start with the Helius program. If you are asking for percentages it depends on a lot of factors like mounting height and tank size. You can adjust the spectrum in the Helius program to your taste.
