Hi I just bought 3 very small peppermint shrimp for my 30 gallon in an attempt to get my aiptasia under control (was costing me a fortune in aiptasia x!). I do have a couple of tunze powerheads on my tank as I've found the extra water movement great for my thriving reef. Since going in they have remained at the back of the tank under a piece of base rock and haven't ventured out. Was wondering if my flow might be too much (they are tiny) - would it help if I turned the powerheads off at night? 2 new aiptasia this morning....

I would turn at least one PH off if you have multiple. Also, watch out with peppermint shrimp. They won't all go for aiptasia and they will often eat your corals, especially if you don't feed them often. However if they are well fed they won't go after aiptasia

Not uncommon for shrimp to molt shortly after introduction.
I have never worried about flow or power heads with peppermints.
Not all are coral eaters but they can become problematic when hungry. I have had mixed experience with this shrimp, once they ate all my maixi mini anemones, currently and for the last couple years they have been model citizens. Make sure you have true peppermints and not camel shrimp.
