New Pick-up

Picked these up at the LFS the other day. They had them labeled as "green zoas". Obviously haven't colored up fully yet, but starting to see some nice color development. Will be interesting to see how they end up.

Interesting Kevin, I'd never even heard of those. Hadn't even bothered to start looking, as I was simply waiting to see how they colored up. Looks like a possibility though - we'll have to see.

Could well be that they are not the same morph, but I would guess that mine were probably wild collected, and have lost much of their original color. They've started coloring up nicely just in the week they've been in the tank, so I'm sure they will continue "evolve".

jolly green giants that when fully morphed will exibit light puprle/violet highlight/tinge on the outer rim of the disk and the inner disk will morph from purple/violet to greenish hue. they also eat if fed.

Thanks Grouper, me too. They're definitely a PE (green mouth and stripes on the outside when closed), just waiting to see if the colors continue to change or if they stabilize where they are.

I have a few of those Randy, they will eventually color up nicely for you. They are definitely a PE, but not sure they have a name yet. Nice pick up!

Perhaps so, although mine are certainly not quite that colorful yet. Also some of them look like they may just be RPE, and some of them look like a hybrid between the two. I guess it is yet to be seen.

Jared did you ever find all those zoas you were looking for?

Found them all except the Speckled Greens, but I added a few to my list that I haven't found either lol.
