I got this from a LFS today. In their Raceway under kessils it was purple with green polyps/highlights. I can't remember what he said it was. I do remember he said he thought it was a confucius something. It was branching and parts of the same frag were plating.

I can try to get better pictures tomorrow when the lights come on if needed. Google wasn't much help...

That piece of it does look similar to psammocora, but after checking out Ora (where their get their corals) I believe it's a montipora spongodes. The piece the frag came off of was branching, plating, and entrusting.

And I feel like a derp. He said confusa or spongodes. Took me forever to remember. Confucius lol. Derp.

Green body new growth is bright purple. Neat. I'm excited to get my leds Monday to get this into my display tank.

I agree. I wasn't sure while looking at the first picture, but as soon as I scrolled down to the second pic I thought spongodes. If it is, it's pretty ****** off right now. They're pretty hardy, but you should still be careful with it.

That pic is after a long drive, temp/drip acclimating for an hour, and 5 minutes in coral rx. I'd be mad too lol
