Tank is already up and running, basic Reefer 525 setup with 1 pump.

Its time for me to get a chiller so I'm going to try to power 3 items with 1 pump instead of buying 2-3 small pumps.
I used to run a dedicated Sicce silent pump for the chiller and 1 for Reactor for my previous tank, worked well, no DIY and no 'possible' points of failure/leaks.

This time I thought I would try DIY, red/grey piping and 1 pump only....how big...no idea yet....
Its simple plumbing with unions, valves etc for:
-UV
-Chiller
-Reactor
-Refugium 'jet/flow'

I will test run it for leaks in the bathroom, do i need to run it for a few days to rid the internal of possible contaminates? that pvc primer and glue was pretty potent. (Used Weld-on P68 primer then 711 glue)

Never ever have done that. After 24 hours - no leak from the glue as I know. Just test for half a hour or so

Sincerely Lasse

Depending on the glue that you use. Some of them cure in only a few hours, so there is probably no need to run for 24hours. In some of my plumbing jobs i have done. They are online and functional within hours. I had no ill effects of any contamination as the glue cure time was not that long.

Your leak testing if you can do it .... is very smart. You should be good to go. Also i believe you will enjoy benefits of manifold over having multiple pumps.

So why do you need chiller? What are you running as far as equipment in tank roght now?
