New Pod and Phyto culturing station

Wanted to play around setting up a pod/phyto station in the garage. Basically copied methods from YouTube'er Blue Reef Tank with some added tweaks.

We took an old Ikea rolling stand and put an Ikea tub with pods on top and two jars of Phyto culture on the bottom. One air pump with control nozzles feeds all three. Used an old evo13 light on a timer strapped to the bottom as the lighting element. The other pic is from our first pod setup which is also still running and will probably move into the garage onto the stand when I have a moment.

The pod tub/container also has a tiny pico heater in it to keep the temp at 78' for the pods since the garage gets a little chilly and I want those little dudes at max metabolism/breeding.

We have already harvested a batch of Phyto and several harvests of pods so far...

I wish my setup could look as sleek as that! But then again, I'm just grateful I'll be making a little money from my culturing.... awesome setup!

That is great you will be able to sell some. I can already tell we are going to have way more Phyto than we will need...but I want at least two jars going in case of a crash. The pods we will just keep adding to tank - and about to setup a IM30L in the next couple weeks so will have pods for both.

Same...I'm gonna have multiple cultures going at once, there's such a lack of live food available here i have an opportunity to actually make a decent little amount if i catch on quickly enough and make good deals with the shop owners. Currently I'm culturing Grindal worms, gonna be culturing Tigger pods soon, if that works out well then I'll culture a species of pod native to Thailand (I'll try to identify it from the live rock itll come one), and lastly if everything is still going smoothly after that i might try to import some white worms since there are literally none at all available here. Like i said, any live food at all is difficult to come by.

Question for pod culturing reefers...

Pods are definitely reproducing in my jars, and I've been scooping some out to feed my tank weekly (sometimes scooping some in a net daily) but....

Should I wait another week or two for them to be overgrowing with pods before harvesting anymore? I don't want to mess up their cycles by taking too many out early...or can I just keep harvesting smaller amounts at a time?
