Hi all,

I hope everyone is doing well!

I've had my tank for only about 6 months now and recently added a powder blue tang. He's eating well, swimming fine, and over all social with the other fish but i've noticed he has some white markings developing on him (pictured below). I know ich is common among tangs so I wasn't sure if it was that, but I have noticed that the other fish seem to be getting infected by whatever he brought in. Any ideas on what it could be?

I gave him a 5 min freshwater dip in RODI water, which he handled fine but I didn't notice anything coming off him.

Those look like stress spots, my powder brown did get them the first week in my tank. I did ended up dimming the lights down and checked my water parameters constantly. Eventually it cleared, I would just say to keep an eye on the fish and others that may potentially be trying to pick on him/her and congrats on the new setup!
