Here it is in all its glory. Any ideas? It had killed 3"s of the stag it was attached too. You can see in the pic its attached to the base. The thing is soft and slimy feeling.

It's a colonal tunicate ive seen a few of these on some of our indo stuff it has yet to kill anything is it possible it just receeded like some wild cultured do anyways its slow growing and easy to scrape off if your worried and see it on a coral.
 
yeah, at first glance it looked like it was maybe some sort of sea slug, but if it doesnt move it is probably a turnicut of some kind
 
That was weird looking. So are they are huge threat in a reef? I have never seen any ting like that in my tank, just curious to learn more about it.

I was in your store when you found this critter. I just saw the same thing for sale on reefready.net for $35 and inch. They are calling it a "Zebra Tunicate" but they are not sure what it is.
