New protein skimmer turning tank into a bubble bath

Hiya
i have got a new protein skimmer its a boyu hang on 1400lph its the only one that fitted my budget and space on the tank my tank is also just started cycling the skimmer has been on 4 hours and the returns are filling the tank with microbubble is this normal as it is new or should i be worried

A hang on skimmer can take a few "weeks" for the bubble effluent to tone down. I'm not familiar with that brand, but many will continue to put some bubbles in the tank. It's just the nature of the beast with hang on skimmers.

Since your tank is cycling, just let it run while that is happening. At some point it will break in. Then you can tune it, and see what you are dealing with as far as performance and escaping bubbles...

Cheers my refugium will be here around monday i have alawys had problems with to much nitrates so this is my first time running both a skimmer and refugium so with water changes hopefully it well help them become low
