I purchased a small pulsing Xenia yesterday and want to know if it's acting ok.

29 Gallon Coralife Biocube

3 weeks in.

Velvet damsel
5 blue legged hermets
Pulsing Xenia

Look good but I would prob put them in a lower flow area with not so much flow. Just enough to keep them moving. Not completely blowing them over.

Less flow will be better. I would also move them to an isolated rock in the sand. In their current position they will quickly start growing and spreading up towards the top of your reef and cover most of your structure.

If those puppies are anything like mine, they'll be spreading in no time. I saw coverage in about two weeks. I regularly have to cut them down. I have mine in a high flow high light area

High flow , low flow , high light , low light ...they don't care. I used to have to take out rocks and cut them at the base and burn the remaining stalk with a torch lighter and they would still grow back. When I tried to eradicate them from my tank one time I took out the rock , cut , burned , scrubbed . Thought I got all visible attachment points..... a few weeks later I noticed a sliver of skin , then three small almost microscopic polyps . I watched them grow from a spec to a full blown colony again in no time.

I would put them on the front right rock and isolate them from your scape, it will slow the spread down, they look fine.

Make sure it's Xenia and not Anthelia.

This stuff grows everywhere iv bits of it all over my tank , iv a mass on my back glass and its even growing in my sump , putting it on a island may help but when it wants to spread I don't think anything will stop it  lol
