New pulsing xenia

I just got it yesterday and then I noticed that it had something else growing out of it

Looks like aptasia to me. Id deal with that ASAP

Number of ways, injecting boiling water, aiptasia X, berghia nudibranchs, peppermint shrimp, etc. I’d suggest either boiling water or aiptasia X if it’s just the one anemone

Take it out of the water to a small dish wit water and gently brush that aptasia till it releases. Rinse the frag after and don’t put back the water.
will come off. The thing is I know so fare no good method other than predators like fish or shrimp of Aptasia that irradiates it without the risk of spreading it everywhere.

I have a cleaner shrimp and a peppermint shrimp but they don't go near it

I would immediately get it out of my display tank and not return it until I was 100% sure it was gone for good. Take care of it as other have posted.

Get some Red Sea Aiptasia X or similar and just treat it as per the instructions otherwise it will spread

You will be fine don’t panic a few days won’t make any difference and if another one appears just blast it with Aiptasia X. Just follow the instructions and you will be fine, it’s all about ‘stealth and timing’! Lol

And I wouldn’t try and scrape it off….
