Just got this new nem Saturday. By his appearance can i assume that it is happy and likes it's placement so far?

It'll move on its own if it wants. Once placed don't ever move it on your own, unless removing for some reason.

Thank you. I was just wondering on the appearance what others thought. He's anchored in now. My red sea led 50 lights are set at 85 blues and 20 whites. Just asking because I recently lost one after having it for 4 months or so. Seemed to be doing great until one day it wasn't. I may have overfed it too much krill.

How old is the tank? Guessing the previous nem was introduced to a system too early.

Tank is 14 months old. Rock flower nem is doing great, trachy doing great. All my corals actually look good and are growing. Duncans splitting like mad. The nem hung on for quite a while, just wouldn't extend. It would move around somewhat. It was rather small and i started feeding it krill in an attempt to help it grow faster.
