Hello everyone, I’ve just spent an absurd amount of money purchasing my dream set up from Red Reef pre built. 350 Litre. I live in Montreal Quebec and wondering if anyone knows or can refer me any professionals or really knowledgeable fish lovers who could help me in the set up process. I’m about a year into Salt water fish and was misinformed on what to do (also my fault didn’t do research prior) and have been spending the last year doing my own research. I still would love to learn from other people and pay someone if they could come and help me with the set up! Thank you, very excited! Check the pictures below to get a very VAGUE idea of the set up by the bill of what I purchased today… IMG_1088.jpeg 71201550473__B5EB03AA-F5BF-45B9-8FE7-44E0233BBCD7.jpeg

Welcome to the Red Sea club! You have all the right gear to start. You may want to look at a fleece roller at some point (this is plug and play) and a pair of ReefWave25 gyres for flow once your tank has cycled (since everything will run off the same ReefBeat app).

Have you decided on any lighting?

They gonna get you for tagging this as an emergency ‍‍

Calm down a bit. You’ll make dumb moves and mistakes. Relax lol. Extremely nice gear by the way congratulations
Ah didn’t even realize I tagged it as that, is there a way to change it? I am very relaxed lol

No worries I removed it! Congrats on the new set up and welcome! :)

Yeah I saw that, its purpose is just to cancel out the changing of socks right ? And yeah I’m not sure which to buy, I wanted to save money where I could and was gonna look at some used lights online… any suggestions ?

this isn't very popular on this forum but you should look into "quanta pro" led bars or the "Reeffi" lights. Reeffi lights are more powerful with a better spectrum than the radions you probably always hear about. Quanta pros can be used as a standalone solution to lighting or as a way to supplement other lights. Both of these have insane value and great quality.

Some sweet looking equipment! Going to have fun with your new tank!

Congrats on the set up. I have the Gen 2 625 and love it.

I’d consider installing a ReefMat 500 on your new build. I have the 1200 and it’s great. Keeps the water super clean (almost too clean).

I have 3 ReefLeds and they’ve been great lights so far. If you want to stick with Red Sea gear, they’re a solid choice.

Nothing wrong with using socks. I run socks in 3 systems. Well I actually run Reef diapers but they just replace socks and don't need to be washed. Many people love the fleece rollers but to me they are over priced and add another component to fail. JMO

It's so you can go away on vacation, yes. You may also want to look into the new Red Sea ATO as well. I like Radions, but I'm of course biased.

Nothing wrong with the actual Red Sea lights and it'll all be in the same app that you use to control the rest of your equipment. If you're this bought-in to their ecosystem you may as well make it easy on yourself. Depending on how wide your tank is you will need 2 or 3 of the Red Sea Reefled 50 watt models, I see no reason to go with the 90 or 160 watt models for that size of tank.

Make sure to use a PAR meter after installing the lights to get the light values where you want them. This video kinda goes into depth about this:
