Anyone else notice the new formulation of the Red Sea alkalinity test kit and get confused by it? It used to be a straight blue to red/purple (I forget exactly) change, but now it's blue to green to yellow. You're supposed to stop at the "green" phase, but I find it not just a bit confusing. Basically I've found the titration to have huge range of "green" from blue, and my readings have been pretty erratic. So I picked up a Hanna alkalinity tester and although it's more pricey, the ease of use and predictable nature makes me much more confident.

Just wondering if anyone else went through the same experience. When I got the new vial of titrant, I just went through my normal procedure assuming everything was the same and was like whaaaaaa? When I looked at the color chart, it hit me, and I still have 3/4 of a bottle left, but really annoying, or maybe I just don't get the "change".

Awwww.
Well, I guess it’s too bad I need to order more.

Says the guy who hates it when his phone updates.
