Looks nice! Can't wait to see it filled up. I have a couple questions, the second pic down is very deceiving, what's holding the tank up? Lol And on your plumbing, is that a metal/brass hose barb on the gate valve all the way to the right?

Lol. That was the stand without the sides. Without H2O it was strong enough to hold it while I was doing the plumbing. And yes that is a brass fitting, Out of the entire build that was my only doubt. Why is it bad?? Should I change it???

Right now I put my live rock in it I have a small pump for circulation I'm up in the air I don't know what I want to do it I might keep it this way or I might drop it in the sump a make a refugium

First thing I noticed was that brass fitting as well. I'd get rid of it for sure!

Yea anything copper brass or nickle is deffinitly a bad idea, so is aluminum but they sell plastic ones just like that at any lows or homedepot. I have the 450, and i feel like the sump is way to small for a fuge unless i ran my equipment external. Ive seen people use the ato before as a fuge, so its deffinitly possible and something to consider

Thanks for the info. I will change it right way. I've seen it done before using the ATO as a refuge but I like the amount of space I have right now in my sump. If I can figure out a way to get the slow natural flow in there by leaving it where it is up on top then I will do it.
