DIY rock

Will build
DIY canister
DIY carbon reactor
DIY skimmer
DIY Refugium
Buying live sand

Any pointers fire away please

Getting family involved

1 part portland
2 part reignite
2 part rock salt
1 part table salt
Now soak for 2 or 3 weeks
Its her first rock

Thanks for sharing. Do you have access to Marine salt to cure this in versus the rock or table salt?

Doing a fresh water cure at the moment then will soak in rodi water with reef salt. It will take me a about 2 or 3 months before its up and running. Plenty of time i think. DIY everything so will take time lol

First big mistake adding sand in full tank its be 24 hours

Tank is cycling using dead shrimp
Some diatoms starting to appear.
Sorry for cloudy tank moved some stuff around
