I have a new reef tank build in the works that is a 75 gallon Marineland I drilled it Tuesday for a
Eshopps eclipse large overflow. I’m new to saltwater and did some research on where to locate the
overflow and decided to place it in the center and hope to do a split return on each side of the overflow. I purchased an Eshopps R-200 sump and hope to be able to do around 1000 gph on the return pump. My plan is to set the tank up for anemones and LPS corals and of course fish
So here’s a couple pics of my empty tank:D and I’m open to any advice on setting it up as well.

Welcome home, we left the lights on.

Looks good so far. Based on your name and that hood behind the tank really wondering what you may have back there.

Kind of depends. Personally, I like the cleaner look of a drilled return, but up and over definitely works well too.
One benifit of drilled is the various returns available. From Loc-line, to the VCA random flow generators

Thanks for the welcome! I’m leaning hard toward drilling the return since the clean look is really
what I’m after. Just wonder what the pros and cons if any to each were.Oh the car in the pic is a 69’ superbee and beside it resides a 67’ fastback Barracuda.

So Im gonna drill the returns 4” from each corner but how far up should I put them? I can trim a bit from the plastic rim if needed.

Only thing I can think is the glass door may get salt spay or evaporation that may require lots of cleaning.

Looking good.

I have been restoring it so not original but does have the original sheet metal and numbers matching drivetrain.

What year is it, 69, 70? I have my office in one of my clients buildings. He runs his business out of the building as well. All of the other bays are setup with car lifts and stuff. He is a collector. He also rents out the other spaces to car collectors. Right now in the building we have a 67 A/C cobra 427, a 69 superbee, a 67 gto, a 68 convertible shelby gt 500, a h1 hummer, 2016 Bentley gt speed, a gt40, a 1980 Ferrari 328 GTS, about 6 different porsches, um what else? Some race bikes etc.
