okay so i have a questions concerning carbon bags! i currently have a 55 gallon saltwater FOWLR that has been setup for about 6 months! its healthy i do weekly water changes and test my water! i am using a canister filter with 3 stage filtration! i just got a 10 gallon tank that i am going to setup for reef tank! i just put a carbon bag in my tank thats setup and let the bacteria grow on it! after i purchase my live rock and live sand i want to put the carbon bag that has beneficial bacteria in my 10 gallon to help speed up the process! would that work!? i am also wondering what type of filtration i should use for a 10 gallon thats going to have 2 clowns and corals! any suggestions!

Good cured live rock would be better. Also a skimmer should be used for filteration. Cannister filters are not the best filters for reef tanks. Live rock,ro/di water, circulation and patience is all you need. Good luck.

The carbon is not going to get you the jump start you are thinking. A sponge or using the Live Rock in your already established tank would be better.
Using Nano poweheads in a 10g would be fine, and 15lbs of Live Rock, thats all you need.

yeah i am going to get a circulating power head and i was going to get a nano skimmer! im also just going to get about 15 pounds of fiji live rock. and i also have a RO unit setup that im using for my tank now so it shhould be good

+1 Live Rock and skimmer will do wonders!
