Same. No surprise, since most of my design came from Barrett. This is also where I have my heater.

Have you thought of having a refugium in that section?

@Barrett I was looking through your build, is there a reason you didn't do that?

I had a mat of ulva in there, for a few days, for the purpose of giving amphipods a place to breed. That particular macroalgae smelled to high heaven, though, so I removed it. If at some point I think I would benefit from having one to control nutrients, this is where it would go. I believe that @Philipgonzales3 has, or had one, in the middle of his.

What is that? My macro algea? I had just taken a pic of it a few minutes ago showing my friend the aipstasia that it has growing on it. I have some aipstasia X, so may attempt to kill it here in a bit.

Also here is my sump. Cheateo has been growing a lot. I don't even hardly ever tumble it lol.

I also have some ceramic media in the first section with the drain/skimmer in it. I also run carbon.

@New&no clue had a question about using the middle chamber of our sump as a refugium. I thought that I recalled you going that route. Haha, that is some intense Chaeto!

I think I did for a short time but ended up replacing the sump due to a leak/crack. I don't think I had it set up too long though from what I recall. I have a bad memory though lol.

I took the advice of @Barrett, and picked up some trochus snails, and a fighting conch. The fighting conch is so cool!
I also had my first “tank emergency.” The ATO completely emptied into my sump. A few good things: I only set up a 5G container, so the sump did not overflow, and the salinity only dropped .02. Everything in the tank is fine, and I have been able to slowly bring it back up. I took the ATO apart, and set it up again. I believe something must have gotten hit, when I did all of my maintenance the other day. Seemed to work fine, overnight. I’ll be keeping a close eye on it, today, because I’m in Denver the next three days

Sorry just saw this, I don’t have a problem maintaining low nutrients in my system, my original plan was to add a algae scrubber when I needed one.

Added a purple firefish, and a Midas blenny, to quarantine, today. I don’t want the clowns to get too comfortable with having the entire tank, and I have wanted a Midas, for quite awhile.

It’s been a little bit, since I’ve updated. It’s really tough to get traction on these build threads. Makes me jealous of some of the great, active threads I follow on here. But, I have to remember that this is also supposed to be a record, for my own sake.
I’m really happy with how the tank is doing. I just moved Tidus and Red XIII to join Cecil and Rosa in the DT.
