Hello Reef2reef, I've recently started the build for my IM 50 Gallon lagoon aio. This is my 1st saltwater aquarium & this site gave me the confidence to actually pursue the challenges that come with keeping & maintaining a slice of the ocean in my room.

I plan on keeping a fowlr system for the 1st year, until I'm comfortable or experienced enough to get corals.

Welcome! Cool Scape! And sounds like a good plan.

But I think you could pick up a few LPS or Softies in 6 months. There's coral that don't require any care besides "feeding your fish" just grab a few Zoa frags! :) Great color and easy as pie.

Dont be scared of coral :) It's the most expensive funnest part I swear :p

Thanks for the feedback & reassurance but if it's one thing I've learned from this forum when dealing with this hobby, is nice & slow is the way to go. Along with lot's of research. Who knows i may feel indifferent in 6 months & may get the coral bug. Will keep your advice in mind.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!!

love the scape.
love the height. ignore the "it's too high" naysayers.
welcome to the show.
Thanks, I'll ignore them for now ,but can see the challenges I may face with certain coral in the future. I don't mind rescaping a year from now.

ask the question over in the aquascape forum.
easier to make changes now then later.

Nah man. I don't think you'll have to rescape anything. You can easily put encrusting SPS right at the top, and the branching sps a little lower. And then your LpS and softies where they usually go. Bruh, I'm jealous of your rocks man. You gonna make me redo my whole ****.

Thanks for the reassurance. Nice setup. Dope video.
Here are a couple of links to videos that helped with my scape:

Thanks but I've made & broken 4 scape structures before coming up with this scape, new it wouldn't be easy for a 1st timer, but boy did I have my work cut out for me.

Naw don't change it man. You good with this scape. You can def do alot with this man. You might have to find some interesting ways of doings your flow, but that won't be too bad. I can see what I would do with corals in this tank and Im excited to see in a few months what you decide to put in.
