New Reefer in AZ

Welcome…. I am also in Az and will say the hardest part of reefing in Az is understanding the water out here. Make sure you have a source of good RODI, or if you’re like me, and have your own, make sure you stay on top of it. Az has horrible water. Also, there are a million ways to do something, just know that each have their own pros and cons.

Welcome to R2R, fellow Arizonan......

Which Red Sea, dis you get? I am getting close to an upgrade.
I purchased the XL 300 Deluxe 65 Gallon. I'm already thinking I went too small, but I didn't want to double the cost for an XXL 750. It already feels like I'm spending a small fortune on this, especially with the economy the way it is.

We all spend a fortune on this hobby but once everything is stable and tank is stocked and that piece of the ocean you enjoy every night is in front of you, you will catch yourself saying it was well worth it

Never seen a hobby where one is excited to see the lights go on

Yes, the water here is all kinds of questionable. I did pickup an RODI system and a booster pump. So I guess mistake number one has been avoided.

I was waiting at my tank this morning waiting for the lights to go on!

Also just signed up from Az... Tucson here. I've been reefing off and on for over 10 years but just downgraded to a 40G breeder from a 120G I have been running as a FOWLR... going to start trying corals again. Hobby keeps drawing me back in....
