Just wanted to say "thanks" to everyone here for the wealth of info and for answering the noob questions I posted along my journey here. I probably spent about 3 months researching before even buying any gear - and even after the gear arrived I took about 2 months to get it all setup.

A couple huge takeaways from all the reading I did was "be careful" and "be patient"; so I took my time &, so far, everything's going well =)

Anyways - just wanted to say "hi". If there's any SF Bay folks hit me up - I'd love to grab a drink, chat & learn.

Thanks everyone. Clowns have been in QT for just under a week now. Been monitoring the water in QT with Red Sea tests plus the SeaChem ammonia badge.

So far so good! They started eating a couple days ago but yesterday was a “good eating day”; both took a bunch of bites of the garlic soaked frozen and look happy & wiggly in general.

Once I’m happy with their eating for a few days in a row I’ll mix in some general cure.

DT is still sitting at 2ppm ammonia. I’ve been following Dr Tims fishless cycle - using One & Only and their Ammonium Chloride. No significant drop in ammonia yet so we sit and wait...

ya that was the goal. It took me 2 months to even get the tank wet so I thought I’d parallelize the QT and cycling so I could enjoy the DT sooner.

it’s pretty stressful having an uncycled QT along with no seed source. But 10g is small enough where the water changes are pretty quick.

still studying some of the preventative treatment protocols @HotRocks and @Humblefish posted but I’m not gonna do any of that till the fish are consistently eating well. So far they look healthy & happy tho!
