Hey guys, I have had my tank since the beginning of November and about a week ago these (pics attached) started forming and the water started smelling. I have since did a 50% water change and added chemipure. The smell has not gotten better, possibly worse. Can anyone help me out? I hate the idea of tearing it down. Thanks in advance.

Likely diatoms but you reacted correctly with water change. Dino will be slimy/stringy with air bubbles

That’s great news, is there anything else I can do to help with the smell? I have roommates and don’t want to have them upset with the tank set up. It’s in the bedroom, but do I really have to wait out the smell for weeks?.

smells are typical but carbon does help

Thanks so much!!! I was worried about those pesky dinos and I’ll still keep and eye out for air bubbles but I haven’t been able to see any so far.
