New Reefer Skimmers

Hey guys,

Just ordered a new Red Sea Reefer RSK 300 skimmer to replace my Bubble Magus. Anyone have any experience with these? From the looks of things, it should be dang good for the price.

Good skimmer, but tons of air sucking noise from the air chamber. I designed a different air chamber (printed on my 3d printer) using Nyos design as basis, helped a lot. If you have a similar noise issue, pm me, can print out one for you.

Butz, what was causing the loud noise? Was there a design flaw? Had many skimmers over the years, but never had one that had an over the top sticking sound.

Yep, I think their air chamber design is flawed. Let me know if you have the same issue. Many do, some dont.

I ended up not being able to use the skimmer....the. as was too large for my chamber. Sent it back and went with a Nyos Quantum instead. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
