I have a 48 inch 60 gal aquarium using ati 48 inch 4 bulb setup. Tank is tall with zoanthids and polys. Low in the tank hammer and frogspawn low middle and I want a few birds nest type corals at the very top. Just been advise on light mount hight for good par. Thanks see photos.

A good way to adjust the height for T5's......

Turn out the lights in the room the tank is in, leave the T5's on. Adjust the height until you no longer have overspill of light from the sides. This usually comes in around 12 inches or so.

I hang my 8 bulb powermodule 9 inches from the surface.

I second this.

In addition, T5 light also seems to be easier for corals to adjust to, even when lowering the lights. Not going to get into a debate here, but I have used this method for years and have never burned anything or bleached it out when doing this. Just be sure lower light corals are down low, and work up in height based on light requirements.
