Hi all, new reefer here looking for some advice. I am currently setting up a 75g (eventual) mixed reef with a 29g sump/refugium. I am trying to decide which return pump to get. I’m looking at either an Eheim 1262 or a Jecod dct 6000. Anyone have any thoughts, comments, or opinions? I’ll take all the help and advice I can get.

I like the Eheim pumps, they're well made and last a long time. I also like the Sicce Syncra pumps and currently use the 3.0 for the return pump on my 40 gallon.

Welcome aboard! Ive had good luck with the Jabaeo/Jecod return pumps. Currently running two different versions of the DCT 8000. They run quiet and I havent had a problem. Their powerheads though I would avoid.

No experience with Eheim.

I have 2 hydor wave makers for power heads. I like the Jabaro/Jecod because it has a flow control built in. I’m using a cpr cs100 overflow so I want to make sure I don’t overpower it.

Patience I have. I’m probably not even putting water in the tank for at least another month. I have to build my sump and order a few more pieces of equipment.

That's really good it will help alot. Do your homework, research and research, carefully plan everything from fish wishlist types of coral you want to keep. Quarantine all fish and coral of possible and dip every single coral you put in your tank. As for equipment imo you kinda get what you pay for. Not meaning you have to get everything at top dollar but make sure you research or you will end up like me and just buying new equipment when your not getting the results your looking for ;)
