I've got about 2 years as an adult in the freshwater hobby under my belt now, i'm a college student. and i'm now fascinated by the saltwater world. I used to be daunted just by the thought of live plants in a freshwater tank, but now I've got some experience and am looking to dabble in what I have long considered too much a challenge for myself: saltwater fish and reef keeping. I am currently researching things to hopefully be able to apply maybe a year or so down the line in my first saltwater tank. I am absolutely captivated by mantis shrimp and clownfish, and I hope to one day also have a mandarin dragonete (tho I know they need lots of pods and a well established tank). I'm excited to journey into this new, complicated hobby :)
newbie 2 also a college student and just got my first saltwater tank (biocube 29). Used to keep alot of freshwater when I was younger like 8 - 15. Hope you succeed! I'm having a rough start right now

Hello and welcome to R2R. Can't wait to see how your tank comes about. You have come to the right place.

Welcome. The change is exciting and a learning experience. In my day I had to read books to get information. You have a much quicker way to get questions answered. You have just taken one big step.
