New reefers like myself needing to Raise Alk ONLY?

My tank is about 3 months old. After my tank cycled my Alk stayed at 6.8.5 - 7.0 dkh. Every other parameter was on the high side, not over, just on the high side. I needed something that would not affect anything else including PH. I read about Seachem Reefbuilder, not Reef buffer! I dosed the minimum dose of 1/2 teaspoon in 2 cups of rodi and straight into tank ( slowly). The instructions say you can dose this much all at once but I was kinda scared to dose lol so I dosed this over 2 days .It worked exactly as bottle says. My Alk was at 6.8.5 and is now at 7.7. I plan to dose once more at same ratio to get Alk where it needs to be. Just thought I would share my experience with this product.

It’s good to see it worked, just try and maintain the alkalinity if you can once you get were you want to be, Stability is the key

A good target is around 8.5 then you also have a bit of ‘wiggle room’ in case it drops.
