Does anyone have this bulb 250w and what are your thought's? as i am in the process of getting a new bulb asap possible tonite! Ive been running coralvue 20k de and its been cool with me! But dont mine to try something different but im looking for a perfect mix not to white!

I had the reeflux 10k 12k and now I been using the reeflux 20k for about 5 month. they are nice corals look ok but some how now they look like 12k. I will switch to radium, radiums look way better in my opinion my friend have 3 of them on his 180 and I was at his house last night and the colors are amazing and no actinic supplementation!. this are run by galaxy. hope it helps
^_^

i think the reeflux it really depends on the ballast, electronic is much better for them from what I have heard. Ive also heard most prefer the 20k

Thanks, i picked up the 20k de! Radium doesn't make de 250w naldopr or ive would of been all over it! So far not disappointed but it needs use to tell how im gonna like it! I actually dig the coralvue 20k from what i heard its suppose to be better time will see!

Sorry, I was thinking it was 150w for some reason, my bad.

cool let me know how you like them also a few photos ^_^

If you have electronic ballasts the Reeflux 20k is a nice bulb. If you've got M80 ballasts then the Radium is the way to go. Both of those combinations have VERY similiar color and PAR. You cannot run the Reeflux on an M80 or the Radium on an electronic though.

I run mine in their cv electronic ballast and color wise they are different this 20k look more yellow after few month radiums are pure white with a tint of blue if they are run on galaxy.

I have the 400 watt and an icecap ballast.

Tested the reeflux 20K for a while very high off the water of my 50 to see the color, it's amazing! Not incredibly blue but sure doesn't need actinic.

I will be sticking with this combo for my 118XH when it's setup.

Well reeflux & coralvue are pretty much same owned! I was happy with the coralvue 20k(it gave a perfect combo half n half) im sure ill be happy with the reeflux 2ok de! My pendant is a lumenarc mini III, that badboy reflects mad light so i cut my hours down to 5hrs a day and i plan to adjust an hour every week! I hope my corals do fine :squigglemouth: i have some screen just in case!

I thought I would not like the RL 20k bulb due past experiences with 24 assorted flavors of 12k RL bulbs in the past. (like Primo beer ) .
I presently use a 250 se with a CV dimmable ballast in a Lumenbright wide pendant . No t5 or vho's yet . If I ramp up the ballast the color shifts too white for my taste .
Here's the hmm part . Reeflux bulbs should not be run on HQI ballasts . My Coralvue ballast can overdrive a bulb +10 % .. . Go figure .
I run the bulb slightly dimmed for a crisp ice white / blue look . A buddy runs Radium's and he cannot tell too much of a difference between the 2. My coral colors aren't to shabby either . He has Radiums and cannot get his FF monti to yellow on the tips .(fwiw i am not so sure it's his lighting ) . He uses 454 vho's too.
I have not switched to Radiums yet since I basically got the RL bulb for free .The bulb does a good job of imitating a Radium imho.

HTH .

90 cube infant with radium /454 vho 2 . not mine .

YW . The bulb took some time to grow on me . It was kinda free so I can't complain . EG : look at the orange in the AOG
