New refugium

I’m about to add a new refugium onto my 125 , what should be in it . Best way to go so to speak.

Personal preference on what you want. Mine is for pods, food and nutrient control so I have rocks, caulerpa and sand. Down there I do no cleaning whatsoever so it's full of dead caulerpa, old food and poop but I also have a boatload of pods and small dusters

With all the poop and old food are your nitrates high?

No, they are constantly undetectable; however, I do weekly waterchanges and have heavy algae growth down there
