I have a Red Sea 350 for 1 1/2 years and have started a Refugium I also have the following
  • Filter Socks
  • Protien Skimmer
  • Algae Scruber
  • New Refugium /Algee Barn

  1. Should I eliminate some of these and just use the refugium?
  2. I installed refugium last night and removed the filter socks should I put them back in?

Your fuge and ATS will work against each other. Wou will want to choose which one you want for algae production. That's the only problem i can see that you will have.
Socks and skimmer can remain in use.

Thanks for your reply, that's kind of what I thought just learning

ATS and fuge work very similarly to each other but in different ways.
Both use algae for nutrient reduction. The fuge can be used to house pods, isolate a fish or coral, you can add additional bio media (mud, sand, bio block)
Fuge takes up a LOT more space than an ATS.

You can use both but I would use different algae in the fuge like dragons breath or something like that.

Good luck..
