Just ordered a new return pump for my nuvo38 the stock one is getting noisy so its time
i have 2 questions

1- the original return pump is 475 GPH and the new one i ordered (sicce 2.0) is 560 GPH is i believe will this be a issue?

2- should i run the pump in vinegar and water first? i was told i didn't have to but want your opinions

Welcome to reef2reef !!!!
The higher gph won’t be an issue. You can run it in vinegar if you want

Thanks! I had this tank running for about 2 years and some change had some life things come up had to break it down and re-home everything just got it back up and running about a month or so ago I’m a little rusty with everything trying to get my groove back lol. Already had to replace my MP10 well just the dry side and the control box the pumps running but a little noisy. Figured I’d put a new one in and keep it as a back up.

Thanks! Been out of it for a few years finally got settled in the new place and had this tank sitting figured I’d fire it all back up. The stock pump had about 3 years run time on it and it has always made some noise figured I’d upgrade and keep the old one as a spare
