Hope everyone had a great holiday season, and hope 2012 brings great reef keeping to all.

My name is Brandon from Nashville, Tn, I have been keeping a reef tank for almost nine months, and have slowly been adding more corals, have not yet stocked any fish. I am not sure about online fish ordering and haven't really seen much at my LFS that interests me.

Welcome to R2R. Glad to have you aboard!!!

What LFS are you going to down there? I LOVE Aquatic Critter :)

That would be the one, Aquatic Critter, dont really know of any others in the area. Thanks btkrausen.

Welcome to R2R!!

I have ordered from Live Aquaria (Divers Den) MANY times and I haven't had any problems what so ever for online fish purchases..

Thanks for the info Dave, have you ever ordered any corals online?

I've ordered both fish and corals from LiveAquaria with no issues at all. Also keep a close eye on Pacific Island Aquatics as they get some spectacular fish.

Thanks guys, I have looked at LA before but never order, will look into it.

There are a ton of vendors/sponsors here on R2R that have amazing corals. You can check the vendor feedback forum to get an idea of who everybody likes. But you will find a ton of corals locally from fellow reefers as well. The MTRC forum is where you will find stuff local for sale. And I have ordered fish and corals from Vivid Aquariums and have been happy with them. Also liveaquaria and Divers Den are highly trusted, as well as Pacific Island Aquatics. I plan on ordering from them real soon as I am going with a wrasse dominant tank. Glad you are here on R2R and you should come to the next MTRC meeting on Jan. 14th in Smyrna and meet some local reefers.

I have used many online stores to order fish to Smyrna tn. I work day shift so I tend to have my delivery done at a FedEx store so the little fish won't sit out in the cold or heat to long. I tend to wait until the best deal and buy several fish or coral from one place that way I don't have to keep paying the 30 dollar next day air fee. There are alot of good places online. Aquatic critter is great place So is Emerald Bay. But for the more exotic fish u may need to go online or ask Emerald Bay to get it for you. Both excellent. Follow Emerald on Facebook and he posts the fish he has received every week and corals and you can request stuff for his next order. They are more expensive than online but what isnt? when u factor in shipping its the same. I have recently gone eBay crazy on corals.

+1 on vivid aquarium. They have a great return policy on dead fish. I even had a sickly looking fish and they returned my money plus shipping. I have used nyaquatic. And saltwaterfish. As well as many vendors on this site. Make sure u quarantine and/or corol dip the heck outta them. Do Not put a coral in your tank without a dip quarantine or both. I learned this the hard way and got a strange black cyano bacteria that was antibiotic resistant. 15 months to clear up.
