New Rock Flower Anemone Garden - One concern...

You do realize that in nature they are typically found on the sandbed, or on the end of rocks where the rock meets the sand often times covered in sand(yes I realize they are called ROCKflower nems)? This is a natural defense mechanism. When frightened or threatened they simply close up and sink in the sand where no one can find them. Mine are all pretty much in the sand and constantly get covered in sand. If they get covered up too much they simply close up, shrink down, then reopen all clear of sand.

Yes, I did know they like the sand bed. I have researched them on and off for several years until I finally bit the bullet. Yet, I've seen tanks where most of the RFAs were on rocks, sooooo... My 'hope' was to place them on small rocks near the sand as in my first picture to keep them visible. I know they can move to where they prefer to be. I didn't think the nem would be harmed by anchoring on the bottom of the tank and thus on the sand..just buried alive by my clown. This clown is a bit of a stinker. It is always rearranging my tank. It acts more like a rockmover (dragon wrasse) than a clown. LOL. Thanks for the response. Got a pic of your nems? I'd love to see your flowers

Waiting on babies myself. I just happened to film a spawning event a couple weeks ago in my tank. I believe I posted the vid in my build thread?

Lights are currently off or I would post up a couple pics. 4 of my 5 are all large like tea cup saucers(3 to 4 inches across), but I've had them for a few years now and they all started off like the size of a half dollar.
