New Rockscape. Thoughts and advice?

Hey guys, setting up a new tank. Any thoughts or advice on the rockscape? Will be mixed reef. I'm thinking about breaking apart the large rock on the left and adding shelf rock pieces on the vertical face.

I like the more open look of the second one with spaces for fish to swim / hide. I prefer this look over rocks just stacked.

Also my suggestion would be to make one side taller than the other. Also odd things tend to be most pleasing to the eye, so if you could swing a tall side a shorter side and the a small island in the front middle I think it would look great.

My 2c. Once it’s all grown in some of this stuff is lost as well.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll build up the left side to be a little taller in the first pic with some smaller shelf pieces epoxied in place to break up that vertical face a little. I like the idea of a smaller island in the center.

I would also make 1 of the islands taller with possibly a small cliff overhang and add a little more space in between them for more depth

I’d make a lot of caves and arches for the fish to swim through
