Has anyone gotten one of the new Salifert Magnesium test kits that don’t require the powder? Now it is just 5 drops of reagent and then the titration. I am finding my results to be much lower than normal. I used to be around 1350 but now it is testing closer to 1200. Also, the color is not as strong so determining the end point is a bit more difficult too.
Anyone else noticed this?

I use them (along with a few other brands) and have not had an issue. I do test using a 6500k light to look at the results. If anywhere near the tank, even the slightest bit of blue light really messes with the color of the test.

I have both the old and the new Salifert mag test kit. Did a test just now for them both and they were pretty much the same. Its slightly higher on the old kit verus the new for me 1275 old kit, 1260 new kit.

Yes had the same is. Went to red sea and its a bit more accurate. But ordering a aqua forest just to make sure.

The original mag test with the powder was better imo
