New salt store in Huntsville?

Charlotte Dr. on Southparkway.
i bought a couple snails and a shrimp from him yesterday. they are supposed to have a large coral order coming in about a month.

If it's John whom you talked with, I think he meant Home Grown Aquatics (Mike McGowan-256.677.9462).
Paradise Fish in Charlotte Drive is a tiny store. I've heard mixed reviews.

THe place on the south end of town is Not worth stopping at IMO. very tiny selection in a TINY store. Homegrown however is the *******.... I hear he has this massive Sohal in his systems...:sure:

Thanks for the replies guys........ There is a guy in Florance that is thinking on opening a store as well. I need sullies and hate shopping on line..........

HAHA! No, not since CRA is gone. I have been contemplating opening up a store. I'm just not sure I'm ready to yet.......

Quit your job and go for it Dave, you'll get rich! :moneygrubber:

HAHA! I have NO illusions about getting rich. I would just like for this hobby to pay for it's self and maybe help me to be able to stay home with my family...I don't care about rich. LOL. If I do open one up I will need A LOT of advise. So I'll probably be asking you lots of questions....

Self employment is a 80-90 hour work week for the first year or so... Forget the delusions of family time!

Oh, I know that. My father has owned his own business for 35+ years. I know the dedication involved. Right now I travel with my job 6-8 months out of the year. Most of it overseas or in other states. I know that if I do decide to do this it will take a lot of time and money. The plus side for me would be that I got to at least SEE my family everyday. I may not get to spend a lot of quality time with them but at least I could kiss my wife and kids goodnight every day......

Now that right there is something to spend some time thinking about. As you get older you realize that life is not a destination, but rather a journey. Blink two or three times and your children are grown.

That is one of the main reasons I am wanting to do this. I have seen the world (well most of it). My oldest will be 19 in Feb. and my youngest will be 6 in a month. I would like to see more of them before they are all grown with families of their own......

If/when this happens I want it to be 100 percent aquacultured corals. I know it will be hard to get fish that are all captive raised but the corals should be fairly easy. Maybe even do a coral consignment for the local reefers. I need to get by and see you when I get home from Germany anyway so I may bring lunch for us and M@ry Ruth and we can talk business.

Now you're singing my tune! I've missed a few opportunities to do a water change or scrape algae but I never miss lunch! :hungry: Course, anybody looking at me would never guess that.
