Hi All,
I do weekly 5g water changes with Fritz RPM on my 45g. Unfortunately my LFS doesn't carry RPM anymore, so they suggested Reef Flowers. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on RF? If I continue to do 5g wc each week with the new salt will that be an issue?
Thanks in advance.

Reef Flowers ??? Never heard of it but seems all natural. For that cost, youre better off with Tropic Marin

Do you still have some Fritz? If so, do 50% old and 50% new salt for your WCs until the fritz is gone. If you are out, do half the half the size of WC and monitor your params. Make the change slowly.

Go mail order . here is a chart with brands and parameters.

You'll be fine. Assuming you total volume is only 40 gallons because of displacement, 5 gallons is only a 12.5% WC. That percentage of WC will not cause much of a change in water parameters.

What @RandyC said :) Unless you are doing an extremely large water change it won't make a difference at all. I switched from Reef Crystals to Red Sea Blue (which are on opposite ends of the numbers spectrum) by just doing my normal 15% water changes without any issues at all.
