I’ve been using Brightwell Neomarine for two 5g buckets worth this year. This current bucket I can’t seem to mix to good levels. I used heated RODI water with a MJ1200 with the propeller mod on it and an air pump when I mix up in a 44g brute trashcan. This current batch keeps mixing to 35 ppt, verified through a quadruple checked refractometer, at 78 degrees but I only get 6.8 alk and 335 Ca. I don’t mind adding some two part but doesn’t this mean all my other trace parameters are probably screwy? That’s only like 4/5 of where it should be! 20% off seems like a bad bucket. Thoughts?

It could just be that the dry mix has settled somewhat.
I give my bucket a good roll before use, to remix the mix so to speak.

Yes thank you for mentioning this. I forgot to mention that before I used the bucket I shook the heck out of it, rolled it through the patio and tumbled it end over end numerous times to avoid that situation.

I’ve had this happen several times with Brightwell salt. It has mixed lower than it should. I don’t know if I have bad luck, or if it’s time to switch to a new salt. I bring the big 3 up to where they should be and hope for the best.
