New salty 29g biocube

Since upgrading to the 60 gallon cube, this tank has been quite neglected. It does not help that the bulbs need to be replaced and I cannot find any for the life of me. The tank has become time out for my 2 clowns and 6 line wrasse and where I put corals I have decided I don't want to keep anymore. So it has some GSP, hairy mushrooms, pulsing xenia, kenya trees, aggressively growing palms, etc. Nothing really looks great because the lights need to be replaced so badly.

So it is time to retire the tank.

I have purchased a Waterbox Mini Penninsula. If you want to jump to that thread click here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/waterbox-mini-penn-15.752808/

You're doing great here @Bleigh! ...you are retiring a newer model, BioCube. Oddly enough, I was in the mood about a year ago to resurrect an old original version, retro 29g Oceanic BioCube. Found one in the Queen City, brought it home, and did some repairs to bring it back to life as it had been, including an old K-2 Viper Metal Halide I once owned, tracked down, and bought back...a year later, she is well. :)

Do you have any pictures of it? Did you find it at a LFS or a local person?

I think I got the tank 7-8 years ago. I just could not find any light bulbs and all the corals that were in it had slowly died or were dieing. Most of them were weedy, so I did not want to put them in a new set up, but I did give some frags to some newbie reefers in the area. I was either going to upgrade the hood or do a new tank. I'm super happy with my decision. I do have the tank in my garage. Not sure if I'm going to give it away for keep it for a fish qt.

BTW, did you see I started a new club? crcHUB.com You may be interested.

Actually found it on BuySellTrade, it was the maker (Oceanic 29) I had ~15 years back...lol Figured, what the heck. It came with a specially made top by Octo Aquatics...bonus. Picked up a media rack from InTank and a Tunze9001, Smart ATO, and pretty much set using the K.I.S.S. approach. I should have given you a shout whilst in your area...ugh
