Just getting my feet wet with my first salt water tank, so I got the whole apex line for my new tank was thinking about waiting for a month to install the Trident. Just started cycling my tank this past Friday and see no point in wasting a month of regents when I know they will be out of wack. what are you guys thoughts?

Hook the Trident up at a later date. Just have a nice spot all picked out so it's an easy hook up later

You won't need a Trident until you have a tank full of corals and are dosing. But if money is no object, feel free to set it up and try it out.

I wouldn’t bother installing a trident until you are getting close to needing to dose. Which won’t be until you start getting stony corals.
Using a trident on a new cycling tank seems like a waste to me also.

Already have it ready to setup in its spot just didn't see any reason to go ahead and hook it up. as I thought before not really a point to it right now. Thanks guys

I'm also new to reefing, and my goal is to get a couple of softies, make sure I can keep them alive, with regularly scheduled water changes, then once things are running smoothly, set up a Trident with a dosing station. Have that running for a month or so, then begin thinking about LPS and SPS lol.
