Hi everyone,

1 week ago I added new sand (dead) to my tank since there were areas where you could see the glass bottom.

I know that it is normal that in that new sand is normal to appear diatomea (or so I think), my question is, does she disappear alone or will it be necessary to count on some fish like the Diamond Goby to clean it?

Pd .: before adding the sand had no diatom.

Regards,

It will clear once the silicates within that sand are used up or snails get to it, which ever is first. How bad it gets depends on how much silicates are within it. May go a little faster depending on establishment of tank
