I replaced my sand bed a couple weeks ago and its covered in algae now. I replaced it because my old sandbed got so bad and so dirty there was just nothing I could do, and I don't want that to happen again. Should I leave it be and just do my normal water changes? Should I turn over the sand every day? I have a really small CUC right now and im planning on going to my LFS this weekend, is there anything I should look for there?

You can mix it up every couple of days. I wouldn't worry too much about it UNLESS your phosphates are high, in which case algae will be an ongoing issue on more than just your sand.

Start checking phosphate regularly and lock in on a good lighting schedule and feeding amount and algae will be less and less of an issue.
