Quick question got this sea cucumber today if is a pink and black sea cucumber, when I put it in it went straight into a cave and hasn't moved since should I be worried?

Thank you so muchSea cucumbers come in 2 varieties, those that are sand sifters and those that are filter feeders. None of them move around much, especially once they find a good feeding ground. I wouldn't worry unless it hasn't moved in 2 days.

I have the pink and black and is a sand sifterDo you know which kind you have? Most of the pink ones I've seen are filter feeders. They have branchy appendages that stick out in front of their mouth and catch small bits of food from the water. In my limited experience, these cucumbers are harder to keep alive long term than the sand sifting cucumbers. I have 2 yellow sand sifters in my old 40g cube that survived 6 weeks in a holding tank with no sand and are now doing well in my new 90g tank. So they must be fairly hardy.
