Quick question got this sea cucumber today if is a pink and black sea cucumber, when I put it in it went straight into a cave and hasn't moved since should I be worried?

Sea cucumbers come in 2 varieties, those that are sand sifters and those that are filter feeders. None of them move around much, especially once they find a good feeding ground. I wouldn't worry unless it hasn't moved in 2 days.

Thank you so much

Do you know which kind you have? Most of the pink ones I've seen are filter feeders. They have branchy appendages that stick out in front of their mouth and catch small bits of food from the water. In my limited experience, these cucumbers are harder to keep alive long term than the sand sifting cucumbers. I have 2 yellow sand sifters in my old 40g cube that survived 6 weeks in a holding tank with no sand and are now doing well in my new 90g tank. So they must be fairly hardy.

I'm an avid diver pretty much every weekend in the summer I don't like collecting I feel like I'm starving the specimens keeping them from their natural environment I know half the stuff you buy is from the ocean but maybe if I see a small one I might try but not snapper usually looking for them usually Lobster and fish to shoot
