New Setup - Reefer 625XXL

Hi guys,

Well I’m 4 months into my reefing journey and I can honestly say I’m loving it (although it is addictive and very expensive!). I bought a Reefer 170 full set up, second hand to start but I’ve decided to upgrade.

I’ve just ordered my new Reefer 625XXL plus a load of kit and wanted to get your thoughts:

Lighting - 3 x ReefLED 90’s
Return pump - Vectra M2
Skimmer - Red Sea 600
Power heads - 2 x Maxspec Gyre XF350’s
Heating/cooling - Schego Titanum 600w + Schego Titanium 300w backup + DD ocean breeze cooling fan + DD temp controller
DD H2Ocean ATO system (will run it into the in sump system to double RODI storage)
Kessil H80 Tuna Flora refugium light

Gone for 40kg of DD aquascape natural rock plus my existing live rock which fills my 170.

45kg ATI Fiji white sand plus the sand in my 170.

What do you think? Anything you would change or reconsider while I’ve still got time?

I will post updates through the build and transfer.

Would appreciate your thoughts on my Aquascape. I’m not 100% yet..

Option 2....

This will take up approx 1/3 of the tank, my existing rock from my current tank will do approx the same and then I should have 1/3 negative space which is what I’m going for

Well it’s all set up and the changeover from my old tank went really well. Everything seems to be in check currently.
